The partnership brings together the retirement industry expertise of Michael Eggington (ThirdAge) with the architectural vision of Eugene Marchese (Marchese Partners) to create a senior’s living environment of exceptional quality and sensitivity. The design responds intuitively to its golf course setting, establishing a dialogue between built form and landscape that enhances both. Architectural oversight has since transitioned to EJE Architecture, which has now taken the lead on the project, ensuring its vision and execution continue at the highest standard.
Beyond creating residences of distinction, the development secures the club’s financial future through a sophisticated approach to integrated planning and operations. Charlie is the Development Manager for Newcastle and the Mid North Coast at Third.i. With a strong background in construction management and a sharp attention for detail, he oversees projects from acquisition through to completion, ensuring seamless planning, design, and delivery. His role includes managing the procurement process, coordinating construction contracts and documentation, and optimising project efficiencies within budget.
Charlie holds a Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours Class II) from the University of Newcastle. Before joining Third.i, he gained hands-on experience in the civil engineering sector as an Engineer at Robson Civil Projects. He then advanced to a Major Loss Building Supervisor role with Johns Lyng Group, working across various projects within New South Wales.
Passionate about the built environment and delivering high-quality developments, Charlie brings a strategic approach to every project. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on his family farm in Central West NSW, playing golf, and competing in local rugby union for wanderers.
Janette’s career started in hospitality across multiple roles and businesses, these positions allowed her to realise the import people skills she developed and finessed over many years have. These skills play a big part of Janette’s role in Retirement Living Real Estate.
Janette now specialises in Retirement Living in the Newcastle area, and has recently sold out the first Vertical Retirement Living Village in the CBD of Newcastle, where she was nominated in the top 10 Retirement Living Sales Agents Nationally, in the Property Council of Australia Awards.
When I am not at work, family and friends are my priority, and I love nothing better than catching up for dinner and a glass of wine or two with them! I also love the beach, walking, yoga, and have started to have golf lessons again.
