Hume Place emerges as a visionary urban precinct strategically positioned above the new Crows Nest metro station, representing a landmark collaboration between Third.i Group, Phoenix Property Investors, and the NSW Government. This transformative development, featuring inspired architecture by Woods Bagot, establishes a new benchmark for integrated community living on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
The masterplan thoughtfully weaves together residential, retail, dining, and co-working spaces to create a vibrant community hub that both complements and enhances the existing neighbourhood character. Stage 1, Elevate Hume Place, introduces residences where cutting-edge smart home technology meets sustainable design principles, creating living environments that adapt intuitively to residents’ needs while minimising environmental impact.
Beyond residential excellence, Hume Place demonstrates a commitment to community wellbeing through interconnected public spaces that encourage interaction and engagement. Stage 2 emphasises this dedication further through a proposed allocation of 15%* for key and essential worker affordable housing, potentially delivering approximately 100 homes for those who serve the community.
The precinct has already attracted significant interest from premium retail operators and forward-thinking businesses, recognising the development’s potential to become a vital hub for the Lower North Shore. As the fifth successful collaboration between Third.i Group and Phoenix Property Investors, Hume Place builds on a foundation of proven expertise while pushing boundaries to create a precinct that will serve as a model for future integrated developments.
*Third.i and PPI are seeking to amend the Concept Approval by way of amending ‘Concept’ DA and submit a detailed DA for Stage 2 at the same time. The proposed amendments are subject to approval and Evolve’s eligibility criteria.
